JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Production Operatives in Horwich, BL6.
Job Purpose
To support the efficient manufacture and assembly of engineering products by carrying out production, drilling, waxing/oiling, and assembly operations while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Operate production equipment and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Carry out drilling and preparation of components to engineering specifications.
- Apply wax, oil, and other protective finishes to products as required.
- Perform general production assembly duties in line with work instructions and quality standards.
- Inspect components and finished products to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Report defects, equipment issues, or production concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with packing, labelling, and movement of finished goods when required.
- Undertake other production and manufacturing duties as reasonably requested.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic workshop equipment.
- Good attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work from production schedules.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
- Hard-working and self-motivated.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Regular use of hand tools, machinery, and protective equipment.
- Standing, lifting, and manual handling may be required as part of the role.

Key
Duties Include:
Drilling, waxing/oiling, and general production assembly duties as required within an engineering environment.
Monday - Thursday 6:30am-4:30pm - 38 hours
£12.71 per hour
