Salary: £26,364 - £30,420 per annum

Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Production Coordinator on behalf of one of our clients.

The successful candidate will support the Production Manager by coordinating production planning, purchasing, logistics, and administrative activities to ensure the efficient and timely manufacture and installation of products.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Production Manager in developing and maintaining production schedules.
  • Assist in updating production schedules to reflect changes in priorities, customer requirements, or material availability.
  • Assist in preparing and issue production work orders.
  • Raise and process purchase orders for raw materials, components, consumables, tooling, and subcontract services.
  • Source materials and obtain supplier quotations where required. The production coordinator is to help save spend through innovation of materials and buying negotiations.
  • Keep up to date on new materials entering the market with a particular emphasis on recommending recycled and recyclable materials, this ties in with Brands Carbon Neutral status.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery dates, and pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance and follow up on outstanding deliveries.
  • Ensure purchased materials and services meet quality and project requirements.
  • Maintain purchasing records and supplier documentation.
  • Arrange hotels and accommodation for in house installation teams.
  • Book transport, including flights, rail travel, vehicle hire, ferries, and taxis as required.
  • Monitor stock levels of production materials and installation consumables.
  • Produce monthly reports on production progress in a work in progress chart.
  • Act as a key point of contact between Production, Purchasing, Stores, Installation Teams, Sales, Suppliers, and Project Managers.
  • Coordinate project priorities to meet customer delivery and installation dates, including preparation of supplied RAMS and any other relevant permits required for the job.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning, purchasing, logistics, and installation coordination.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Proficient with Microsoft platforms.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance many projects at one time.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and busy environment
