Are you an experienced MIG & TIG Welder looking for a new permanent opportunity in Oldham?

We are recruiting for a skilled welder to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This is a hands-on role where you will be carrying out MIG and TIG welding, working from engineering drawings and producing high-quality components and fabrications to specification.

This opportunity would suit someone with a solid background in welding and fabrication who takes pride in producing accurate work and maintaining high standards.

The Role

As a MIG & TIG Welder, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out MIG and TIG welding on components and fabrications.
  • Working from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Welding a range of materials and thicknesses.
  • Setting and operating welding equipment.
  • Fabricating and assembling components to the required dimensions.
  • Carrying out visual inspections to check weld quality and accuracy.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.
  • Working closely with the wider production team to meet quality and delivery requirements.
What We're Looking For

To be considered for this MIG & TIG Welder position, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a MIG Welder, TIG Welder or MIG/TIG Welder.
  • Confidence reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • A good understanding of welding and fabrication processes.
  • The ability to work accurately and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
  • A reliable approach and the ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications would be beneficial, although practical experience and welding ability will also be considered.
