Fettler & Polisher
Job Title: Fettler & Polisher
Pay: £17.50 per hour
Reporting To: Production Manager / Fabrication Manager
Working HoursMonday-Thursday: 7:00am-3:00pm
Friday: 7:00am-12:30pm
36.5 hours per week

- Previous experience as a Fettler & Polisher within a fabrication, engineering, or heavy manufacturing environment.
- Experience with fettling, grinding, deburring, sanding, linishing, polishing and finishing metal components to a high standard.
- Competent in the safe and accurate use of hand tools, grinders and finishing equipment.
- Ability to follow drawings, specifications, work instructions and quality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing a high standard of finish and quality workmanship.
- Ability to safely use workshop and finishing equipment.
- Reliable, practical, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Fettling, grinding, deburring, sanding, linishing and polishing of metal components.
- Removing excess material, sharp edges, weld spatter, burrs and surface defects.
- Preparing and finishing components to drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
- Using hand tools, grinders, linishers, sanders, polishing equipment and other finishing equipment safely and effectively.
- Checking finished work for quality and accuracy.
- Reporting defects, non-conformances or production issues to management.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Following all company Health & Safety and quality procedures.
- Supporting production teams in meeting output targets, deadlines and wider operational requirements.
