Ward T3 have an exciting opportunity for a staff nurse to join the Vascular surgical team. Ward T3 has opportunities for staff nurses to develop skills and knowledge in caring for acutely ill patients pre and post operatively.

  • Act as a named care provider for a specific group of patients while supporting the wider team
  • Assist in managing and organising daily work, ensuring clear and effective communication

  • Play a key role in supervising and assessing learners and unregistered staff, acting as a mentor and named supervisor

  • Assist in managing and organising daily work, ensuring clear communication and supporting junior staff (with extra support for newly qualified nurses)
  • Take a leading role in education, mentorship, and supervision of learners and unregistered staff
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions, applying advanced knowledge and skills to meet patient needs
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and make referrals where appropriate
  • Provide compassionate care for patients and their families, respecting privacy and dignity
  • Monitor and adjust care plans to ensure the highest standards of care
  • Utilise highly developed clinical skills specific to your speciality
  • Practice within professional, ethical, and legal frameworks for nursing
