• Deliver the store purpose by guiding the commercial and community strategies in your store.
• Lead and inspire your team to make shopping at Co‑op a fantastic experience, helping them grow and learn to show our customers, colleagues and members the difference Co‑op brings to local communities.
• Empower your team to deliver great service, personally promoting the Co‑op difference to customers and members.
• Build an inclusive culture where everyone can speak up and share their views.
• Develop your team through regular performance conversations to help them reach their potential.
• Ensure the store is safe, legal and operational.
• Manage and optimise your store’s commercial performance, recruit new team members and manage HR processes.

• Experience of guiding and developing a team in a busy, service‑focused environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach, motivate and inspire the team.
• Resilience and strong problem‑solving skills.
• The ability to understand and analyse commercial information.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and support the team with delivery of store activities.
