MASH Social Worker

A Local Authority is looking for a Qualified Social Worker for their MASH team in Greater Manchester area
. This is a permanent and full-time position that is hybrid working.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

• Receive and screen safeguarding referrals concerning children and families.
• Gather and analyse information from partner agencies to assess risk.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and determine appropriate levels of intervention.
• Make timely decisions on referrals and next steps.
• Work collaboratively with police, health, education, and other agencies.
• Share information in line with safeguarding procedures and legislation.
• Prioritise cases where children may be at immediate risk of harm.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to support decision‑making.

The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification experience in
Children's Social Work whilst having an up‑to‑date understanding of relevant fostering legislation. This is a growing team with long‑term potential to progress into a senior position and beyond when opportunities arise.
