Social Worker Team Manager within the Complex Safeguarding Team in Oldham, earning £46.00 per hour. What you will do
  • Team Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and operational management to the Complex Safeguarding Team, promoting high standards of practice and performance.
  • Complex Case Oversight: Oversee complex casework involving exploitation, contextual safeguarding concerns, and other high-risk situations affecting children and young people.
  • Safeguarding Management: Ensure effective safeguarding interventions are delivered in accordance with legislation, policies, and best practice guidance.
  • Multi-Agency Coordination: Work closely with partner agencies to develop and implement child-centred safeguarding strategies and interventions.
  • Supervision and Support: Provide regular supervision, mentoring, and professional guidance to social workers and other practitioners.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor practice standards through audits, reviews, and quality assurance activities to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Performance Management: Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and high performance across the team.
  • Resource Management: Ensure effective use of budgets and resources while maintaining excellent service delivery.
  • Partnership Working: Represent Oldham Council at safeguarding forums, partnership meetings, and regional networks.
  • Service Improvement: Drive innovation and service development initiatives that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, safeguarding procedures, and local authority policies.
