Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting Permanent Children's Social Workers to join Oldham Council’s Social Work Services. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced and passionate social workers to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. The role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of safeguarding and statutory responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on improving outcomes for vulnerable children.

• Conducting Duty and Assessment investigations.
• Managing Child in Need (CIN) cases.
• Participating in Strategy Discussions and Meetings.
• Undertaking Section 47 Child Protection Enquiries.
• Engaging in Pre-Proceedings and Public Law Outline (PLO) work.
• Developing and reviewing Child Protection Plans.
• Managing Children Looked After (CLA) cases, including Care Planning and Permanence Planning.
• Undertaking court work and Care Proceedings.
• Managing complex safeguarding cases and statutory interventions.
• Completing high-quality assessments, care plans and interventions.
• Working collaboratively with partner agencies to support children and families.
• Maintaining accurate and timely case documentation.
• Upholding statutory responsibilities and safeguarding procedures.

• A recognised Social Work qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Extensive post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care.
• Strong knowledge of children's legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience working across Child Protection, CIN and CLA cases.
• Experience of court-related work and statutory interventions.
• A commitment to relationship-based and strengths-focused practice.
• The ability to manage complex cases and work effectively within a multi-agency environment.
