FLT Counterbalance and Reach Driver
(Must be certified with RTITB/ITSSAR/NORS - we cannot accept IN-HOUSE CERTIFICATES)
Rate of Pay: £13.15 per hour
Location:
Chadderton, OL9
Day shift:
Monday to Friday, 2 pm to 10.10 pm, 38 hours per week
(Training on the following shift for 4 weeks: 9.40 am to 6 pm)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled FLT Reach and Counterbalance Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading goods, operating forklifts, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
* Operate FLT Reach and Counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload goods.
* Manage the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval.
* Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
* Utilise basic maths skills for inventory management and stock control.
* Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of materials as required.
* Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational targets.
Experience
* Previous experience operating FLT Reach and Counterbalance forklifts is essential.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is highly desirable.
* Ability to handle materials safely, demonstrating effective materials handling techniques.
* Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a focus on teamwork.
