Hyve Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of a medium-sized warehouse.Schedule and delegate work for the operations team.Focus on cost improvements.Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems.Develop employees in Operations through training, achieving productivity standards, adherence to company policies, and conducting annual performance reviews.Manage the facilities operation budget and ensure all operational standards and guidelines are met.Cultivate a positive and innovative work environment.Investigate and report accidents and incidents.Coach employees on proper processes, safe work practices, and team behavior.Control product movement on the dock, including shipment preparation, while adhering to priority timelines.Continuously improve quality performance standards.Control warehouse inventory, equipment, and consumables.Develop material schedules and coordinate efficient movement of materials.Communicate externally with carriers, suppliers, service vendors, temporary labor agencies, and third-party logistics providers.Maintain high inbound and outbound transportation service levels at the lowest possible cost.Negotiate carrier contracts.Monitor vendor routing compliance, inbound lead times, and costs.Ensure compliance with internal process controls.Work safely, adhering to health & safety measures, reporting hazards and violations.Occasional travel and additional work after hours or on weekends may be required.Core skills include communication, resource planning, analytics, leadership, organization, planning, and project management.Qualifications:Minimum five years’ experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse environment, including at least three years in staff management (approx. 25 employees and temporary labor).Diploma or degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.First-Aid or CPR certification is a plus.Proficiency in MS Office, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Experience with computerized order entry and fulfillment systems.Experience in process development, re-engineering, and quality control.Experience with cyclical inventory audits and control.Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.Hyve Perks:
