Material Handler

Job Overview

The Material Handler plays a critical role in warehouse operations by ensuring materials are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely. This position supports shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes while operating material-handling equipment in compliance with safety standards.

Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by:

• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials
• Using RF scanners for inventory management and order picking
• Performing heavy lifting and handling materials in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment while following safety protocols
• Collaborating with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency
• Conducting routine equipment inspections to ensure proper functionality
• Participating in training sessions for heavy equipment operation as needed

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous experience in warehouse distribution or material handling (preferred)
• Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems (preferred)
• Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment
• Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Basic computer skills for inventory and documentation tasks
