Position: Material Handler III (Equipment Operator) 2nd Shift

Are you a skilled Powered Equipment Operator looking to grow your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler III at our Olive Branch, MS distribution center.

Responsibilities
  • Move product within the warehouse by means of motorized equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, order selectors or reach lifts.
  • Stock incoming items, replenish flow racks, and pick orders using RF equipment.
  • Create cartons and labels prior to shipping.
  • Maintain productivity minimum standards with a sense of urgency.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures.
  • Replenish orders as necessary to support operation.
  • Supply cardboard boxes and bags for departments.
  • Maintain safe actions on and off the equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state and local provisions.
  • Meet department quality, attendance and productivity requirements.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are

You deliver messages in a clear compelling and concise manner and actively listen to instructions and ensure to check for understanding.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Requires prior forklift certification with 6 months previous warehouse experience.
  • Previous shipping/receiving/material handling experience.
  • Ability to operate forklift in a safe manner.
  • Able to lift parts weighing more than 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting, and standing positions for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasionally reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, banding, stretching, bending, and standing frequently.
  • Must be able to work quickly meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Promote an environment where individual contribution(s toward quality and cost improvements are maximized.
  • Must pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts.
  • Must pass a non-DOT physical exam.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous RF equipment to move product.
