Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Provides instruction and leading for recreational programs, sports clinics and activities as well as other programs designed to engage youth and families in our YMCA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual youth programming and family engagement revenue and expense budget to meet branch and association הישרא לקפוץ. Accountable for all youth programming financial results.
- Directs and supervises youth engagement strategies to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs staff and volunteers for programming needs. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve program goals. Monitors and approves team hours worked.

- Assists in the creation of educational and recreational programs for families ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all community members.
- Evaluates the success and participation of youth sports and family programs, making adjustments as necessary to enhance member experience.
- Addresses all department staff performance and maintains all appropriate written documentation.
- Assists in marketing and distribution of youth and family programming, may organize and schedule program registration.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations.
- Review and evaluate staff performance for all programs.
- Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events.
- Model relationship‑building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Compiles program data. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent is preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of:
Child Abuse Prevention of Supervisory Staff;
Working with Program Volunteers; CPR, First Aid; AED;
Bloodborne Pathogens.
The workાચ schedule may vary per the Y’s hours of operation. Most Y’s are open 7 days a week:
Mon – Fri 5:00 am – 8:00 pm;
Sat 8:00 am – 6:00 pm;
Sun 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
- Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions.
- Supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations.
