Registered Nurse; RN Med Surg Part Time Nights - Olive Branch

Join us as a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Part Time Nights - Olive Branch at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare.

Location: Methodist Olive Branch Hospital

Schedule: Part Time Nights, two 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am

Responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care within a multidisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Supports patients and families emotionally, prioritizes safety, and advocates for optimal outcomes through evidence-based practices. Demonstrates professionalism aligned with MLH's Mission, Vision, and Values.

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Implement and adjust care plans based on clinical assessments.
• Administer medications following best practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.

Education:

• Post-Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Nursing - RN (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - RN (preferred)

Experience:

• Minimum 6 months RN experience
• More than 1 year experience in a similar setting (preferred)

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice.
• Critical thinking and ability to develop individualized care plans.
• Effective delegation and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology such as EHRs.

Licenses & Certifications:

• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
• Registered Nurse in Tennessee (Tennessee Board of Nursing)
• Preferred:
  Certification in a clinical specialty

Physical Demands:

• Requires physical activities such as climbing, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Must have good balance, coordination, and visual acuity.
• Ability to react quickly in emergencies.
