Metro Logics, Inc. (Metro) is a privately owned medical logistics service company located in Olive Branch, MS, with additional facilities in Nevada and Utah. We provide temperature-sensitive storage, warehousing and rapid distribution services for perishable foods, pharmaceutical products and medical devices and supplies. Metro manages highly regulated, temperature controlled, and cGMP compliant warehouse space.
About the roleThe Corporate Quality Manager is responsible for managing the site Quality team members, leading the internal audit function, and facilitating and responding to external audits and inspections. This position is also responsible for projects and strategic initiatives designed to improve the Quality System and organization-wide compliance. Occasional out-of-town travel is required.
ResponsibilitiesSupporting and Developing the Quality Department and Quality Management System, as follows:
- Collaborates with the Director of Quality and Compliance to establish both short-term and long-term team objectives
- Manages the Quality Team and keeps track of company-wide quality workflow
- Coaches, develops, and provides training to Quality Team members
- Executes operational goals and ensures that plans are completed across the company
- Supports the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with the Quality Agreement, relevant industry regulations, and best practices
- Participates in cross-departmental projects to help advance strategic initiatives
Audit and Inspection Support:
- Responsible for the efficacy and performance of the internal Quality Audit program
- Manages external audits and inspections, responds to observations, tracks, and documents the status of responses, and presents evidence of corrections during subsequent inspections
- Oversees, directs and reviews operational audits to ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards
- Collaborates with management, develops recommendations and provides risk assessments
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in quality or auditing required
- 4+ years of supervisory or management experience required
- Bachelor of Science degree preferred; relevant experience and/or advanced training, or an equivalent combination thereof will be considered
- Other industry certification, such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar, preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of audit procedures, quality systems, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and other governmental regulations
- Ability to lead, manage and hold direct reports accountable while fostering a positive work environment
- Experience in developing and implementing project plans
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively and remain self-motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical abilities and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively with various teams across the organization while managing multiple projects simultaneously
