Warehouse Operator IUnder close supervision, the Warehouse Operator I is responsible for accurate processing of materials to support company‑wide operations. The role requires meeting the company’s standards for safety, security and productivity. Employees at this level may be in a training capacity and do not need significant prior experience in the field.
Shift DetailsSecond shift, starting at 11:00 am Monday‑Friday. Shift duration varies between 8 to 12 hours, dependent on business needs. Current schedule:
Monday 11 am to finish;
Tuesday 1 pm to finish;
Wednesday 1 pm to finish;
Thursday 12 pm to finish;
Friday 1 pm to finish.
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Prepare orders for shipping by picking, scanning and packing accurately and timely.
- Perform replenishment activities efficiently; compare product descriptions to restocking requests and physical location.
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory as required.
- Process returns from customers; classify back to stocks, damages and expired products.
- Prepare debit memos to vendors.
- Operate hand‑lift; certification in power forklift operation required.
- Load and unload freight trucks.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain tidiness and cleanliness in the warehouse.
- Be flexible and willing to work overtime when necessary.
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmaceutical distribution experience and/or experience with distribution of perishable goods.
- Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse work experience.
- Specialized knowledge of warehouse plans, methods, procedures, and techniques of material handling.
- Train and coach other warehouse personnel.
- Work as a team member; provide assistance and direction to team members, serving as a liaison between associates, leads, and management.
- Basic mathematical computations and applications.
- Willingness to work overtime, report to work on time during normal hours, and to complete special projects, including Saturdays.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
- Adapt to changes and various assignments.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and promptness by using time efficiently and completing assignments on time.
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of standing, walking, pushing and pulling, stooping, crouching, climbing, occasional lifting of equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to electrical hazards and dangerous tools and equipment.
- This is a hands‑on position in a fast‑paced distribution center with multiple daily receiving and shipping deadlines.
- Early morning, evening, and/or weekend work hours may be required due to product launches, physical inventories or business dictates.
- Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) on site visits (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
