Job Description ð ️ Ventilation Engineer – Technical Specialist Support Provide expert engineering support and investigative expertise for Sellafield’s Ventilation Technical Specialist Group ð️️. Maintain high standards of safety, performance, reliability, and documentation across critical ventilation systems — while staying calm, decisive, and effective under pressure.

Key Responsibilities ðð Deliver technical support for new & existing ventilation systemsð­ Carry out ventilation asset condition & system health inspections𧪠Support ventilation & HEPA filter commissioning across site Ensure systems are compliant, fit for purpose & meet current standardsð Collaborate with Plant & Reliability Engineers to optimise assetsð Follow company standards, safety rules & proceduresð
· Provide a professional, customer-focused serviceð Maintain safety through ongoing training & compliance

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience ð§
ð Engineering or maintenance qualification (or equivalent experience)ð️ Experience working at height & in confined spacesð SC Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)ð Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status — or working towards itð Experience coaching & developing others

Essential Skills ️ð️ Strong background in mechanical/ventilation engineeringð Experience providing technical support & investigative expertise for industrial or nuclear ventilation systemsð§‍ð« Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience for internal & external stakeholdersð­ Skilled in inspections, system performance checks & improving equipment reliabilityð» Confident producing reports & using standard IT/software packages

Desirable Skillsð Ventilation flow measurement & test equipment experience𧪠Ventilation commissioning & proportional balancing knowledgeð️ Safe working experience at height & in confined spacesð«️ LEV Testing & Reporting (P601)ðº CSA Training (Level A, B or

C)
