Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

ASN completion required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Unit Details:

Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

The RN performs or assists with peripheral IV access; central line, PICC, and/or Infusaport access; IM and subcutaneous injections; chest tube insertion and management; sequential compression devices; blood glucose monitoring; PCA machines; thoracentesis and paracentesis; TPN; thrombolytic therapy;
Kangaroo pumps; and central line insertion.

Shift & Scheduling:

Weekend shifts as needed.

Holiday shifts as needed.

Floating Requirements:

Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites:
Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
