Interventional Radiology Technologist – Med Star Health

We are looking for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team for PRN Day shift CVIR lab interventional and vascular procedures.

This role covers full‑time radiology tech days off/PTO and open available shifts, including at least one holiday call (8 am–4 pm).

Responsibilities include:

• Operate and document all aspects of the Cath Lab; assist the physician during Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization procedures; maintain a safe environment; perform scrubbing and aseptic technique; manage imaging, processing and patient‑care equipment; assist in data collection and quality improvement.
• Prepare the Cath Lab and equipment: clean, sterilize, restock supplies, and ensure drug and equipment availability.
• Maintain current certification and licensure; attend continuing education and hospital‑sponsored training.
• Work effectively within and across departments; participate in inter‑departmental teams and committees, providing knowledge and constructive communication.
• Ensure appropriate sterile instruments; manage dosimeter badges, exposure reports, lead surveys; assist in precepting new technologists; coordinate equipment scheduling with providers and manufacturers.

Qualifications:

• Vocational/Technical Diploma or associate degree in Radiology.
• 5–7 years’ Cath Lab experience preferred.
• ARRT license as Registered Radiation Technologist in Maryland.
• CPR certification within 90 days.
• ACLS certification.

Compensation Range: USD $38.48 – $62.52 per hour.
