Med Star Health is looking for a Vascular & Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Med Star Montgomery Medical Center! This position is Full-time, Evening Shift.

The Vascular & Ultrasound Technologist is a skilled professional position that coordinates the delivery of healthcare using all aspects of ultrasound to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Work is performed under the general direction of the Lead Technologist or the Manager of Medical Imaging.

• Performs and documents ultrasound procedures while verifying patient consent, preparation, and understanding of risks, benefits, and alternatives.
• Ensures image quality and patient safety, monitoring patients during procedures, initiating basic life support when necessary, and maintaining aseptic technique.
• Supports departmental operations by participating in quality improvement, reporting equipment issues, assisting in staff training, and providing input on hiring and purchasing decisions.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment by preparing rooms, sterilizing equipment, restocking supplies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
• Engages in professional development and teamwork, maintaining required certifications, attending trainings, and collaborating effectively across departments.

• Graduate of an Allied Health Education Sonography program or equivalent (Required).
• 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting. (Required)

• RVT
  - Registered Vascular Technologist (Required)
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 days (Required)

This position has a hiring range of: USD $34.98 - USD $62.52 /Hr.
