About the role

A Senior Water Engineer will support data center construction programs with water engineering support for site due diligence, water distribution and treatment systems. This position is remote with minimal travel.

What you’ll do
  • Review and assist in the technical development of due diligence & campus plan studies.
  • Develop and optimize standard engineering programs for site planning purposes.
  • Develop site planning standard engineering designs and tools to streamline the design process.
  • Analyze utility usage data, identify optimizations and help present recommendations to management.
  • Assist development of water policy approach and enforcement.
  • Review utility agreements and recommend technical guidance and verbiage.
  • Plan for onsite infrastructure using owner standards and guidelines.
  • Coordinate scope with multiple subject area trades.
  • Express complex ideas in a concise manner through all forms of digital mediums (design drawings, presentations, video conference) both internally and with external parties.
  • Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project—including scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & turning points, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct complex requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Facilitate the development of a charter and coordinated timeline.
  • Collaborate to develop solutions and guide the project team through implementation and completion.
  • Apply knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and departmental objectives.
  • Mentor others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values, anticipating potential objections and persuading others—including senior leaders and those of divergent interest—to embrace new viewpoints.
  • Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams, guided by functional policies that shape procedures and policies.
  • Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.
  • Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8‑10 years of solid experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • 4 years of demonstrated ability in planning, design and construction of utility projects.
  • Practical knowledge of large‑scale, complex data center infrastructure, utility treatment and distribution systems is helpful.
  • A solid understanding of the commercial real estate industry in the areas of financial analysis, project management, construction, ethical practices, business operations, marketing, and business development.
  • Experience and general knowledge of cross‑field teams: structural, civil, IT/Telecom, mechanical, electrical, architectural.
  • The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
  • Ability to tackle unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Google Drive.
  • Expert interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.

Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $190,000 annually.…
