Phlebotomist II Float - Olympia, WA

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends.

Pay range: $23.80 – $26.20 per hour. Employees may be eligible for an annual performance bonus compensation.

A Phlebotomy float role provides a dynamic work environment where no two days look the same. As a Phlebotomist floater you will shift frequently to new patient centers and continually meet new people. • Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate.
• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing.
• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
• Enter billing information and collect payment when required.
• Coach, mentor, instruct, and serveas a resource advisor for new employees; act as point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.
• Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed.

• Required:
  
  State phlebotomy license (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required.
• Required:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred:
  Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training).
• Preferred:
  Phlebotomy certification (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Required:
  
  Three years phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Preferred:
  Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment and customer service experience in a retail or service environment.
• Required:
  
  Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Must effectively communicate in English.
