Humana seeks a Lead Data Engineer with a strategic mindset and deep technical expertise to advance our enterprise data governance architecture and processes. This role emphasizes integrating artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and modern cloud-native platforms with state, federal, and enterprise policies. The successful candidate will lead initiatives that enable scalable, compliant, and future-ready data solutions across the organization.

• Architect, design, and evolve scalable data platforms and frameworks to transform complex structured and unstructured data into business intelligence.
• Lead the integration of AI, ML, and advanced analytics into enterprise data governance processes, enhancing automation, insight generation, and predictive capabilities.
• Develop enterprise-wide data strategies, partnering with senior leadership to align technology roadmaps with business goals and compliance mandates.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend capability enhancements to drive innovation, efficiency, and data protection.
• Guide cross-functional teams and mentor engineers, fostering best practices in data engineering and architecture.
• Ensure data solutions meet rigorous standards for governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Exercise independent judgment on complex capability decisions and strategic initiatives.

• Demonstrated expertise architecting large-scale data solutions using cloud-native and big data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Proven experience integrating AI and machine learning models into enterprise data environments.
• Strong background in designing enterprise data strategies and advising senior leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and regulatory compliance (state, federal, and enterprise).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; experience guiding technical teams and managing strategic projects.
• Mastery of modern software engineering and architectural best practices.
• 2-3 years preferred experience with ontology.

$142300 – $195,700 per year
