This position is part of the Enterprise Data Networks (EDN) unit within the Network Services Division (NSD), which provides vendor and business management, technical network design, procurement, financial quotes and implementation of the Wide Area Networks (WAN). EDN provisions and manages over 1,100 fiber optic and copper circuits procured and contracted from various network telecommunication vendors.

As the EDN Provisioning Supervisor
, you will supervise the EDN provisioning team. In this role you will work cooperatively with senior management and/or independently on high-risk, high-profile initiatives that may impact significant/fundamental public service. This position reports to the Enterprise Data Networks Manager.

• Provide leadership, mentoring and supervision to personnel.
• Manage the development and implementation of standards and procedures for Enterprise Data Network Provisioning staff.
• Make decisions on best technologies and methods to maintain an accurate network inventory database to ensure continuity for network resource allocation and critical service continuity.
• Analyze business requirements, physical needs, capacity projections, configuration requirements, standards, and network design and configuration.
• Lead business needs assessments, requirements analysis, and capacity planning to design network technologies.
• Translate technological options into business terms and advise senior management on technology solutions for mission critical business problems.
• Decide on the development and management of standards and procedures for the enterprise data network, including engineering, implementation, performance monitoring and integrating new technologies.
• Lead and decide on the formation of interagency work groups to engineer, quote and deliver multi-service solutions.

• Eleven total years of progressive work experience in information technology, specializing in management of network technologies. This experience must include:
  • Three years of experience in large-scale WAN networks and implementing network solutions that employ network transport.
  • Three years of progressive supervisor or lead experience.
  • Two years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Two years of experience in vendor management and vendor contracts.
• A bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field can be used in lieu of four years of the total years of experience.

• Three years of experience conducting network inventory management.
• Certifications in professional leadership, project management, CISCO, and/or ITIL.
• Two years of project management experience, managing IT project framework deliverables such as proposals, work breakdown structures (WBS) and project timelines.

The onsite requirement is as needed to conduct supervisor duties, equipment inventories, and attend in-person meetings with the Provisioning team and/or the EDN team.
