Overview
The Artistic Director leads the Olympia Peace Choir, a 16‑year‑old non‑auditioned community chorus dedicated to using song for peace, social justice, and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities- Lead Monday evening rehearsals (7 pm–9 pm) and prepare the choir for performances.
- Coordinate the season runs from early September to late May, including 2–3 concerts and 1–2 retreats each year.
- Develop and implement music programming that supports the choir’s mission of peace and stewardship.
- Collaborate with the elected board and committees on artistic initiatives.
Salary: $20,000–$25,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Location & ScheduleOlympia, Washington. Part‑time;
Monday evening rehearsals with preparation time throughout the season.
Olympia Peace Choir, a non‑profit, non‑auditioned community choir governed by an elected board of members in collaboration with the Artistic Director and ad hoc committees.
