Per Diem Psychiatric RN/LPN – Olympia/Tumwater, WA
Position SummaryWe are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for per diem psychiatric and behavioral health roles in the Olympia/Tumwater area. This position supports care delivery at a secure 15-bed inpatient Evaluation and Treatment (E&T) center, serving adults aged 18+ under the Involuntary Treatment Act (ITA). The program’s mission is to engage individuals with complex needs in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams.
Responsibilities- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to adult patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising RN or care team
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
- Current RN or LPN license in Washington State
- Minimum 1 year experience in a psychiatric environment, including work with substance abuse populations
- Current BLS certification required
- CPI certification preferred
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray
- 12-hour shifts available (day and night)
- Flexible per diem scheduling
- Multiple locations available:
Grays Harbor, King, Mason, Pierce, & Thurston County
Compensation:
Based off years of psych experience
- LPN: $40-42/hour
- RN: $55–$60/hour
- Strong clinical judgment and communication abilities
- Experience in psychiatric and substance abuse care settings
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, recovery-focused environment
