American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Neurology Clinic position requiring a WA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Requirements- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with telephone triage, specimen collection, venipuncture, and vital signs preferred
- Outpatient neurology clinic setting treating patients with TBI, stroke, CVA, substance abuse, and other neurological conditions
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR for charting, order management, and documentation
- May float within scope to meet facility needs as needed
- Manage Epic nurse in-boxes, work queues, and inbound clinical faxes requiring provider review
- Triage and respond to patient phone calls and MyChart messages
- Process medication refill requests and route for provider signature
- Coordinate lab and imaging orders and results, including high acuity infusion coordination
- Transcribe voicemail messages and abstract genetic testing labs into Epic
- Support patient safety and continuity of care across assigned providers
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
