American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and Epic proficiency.

• Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital seeing approximately 170 patients daily of all ages
• Level I stroke and cardiac center, Level III trauma center functioning as Level II
• Largest hospital in the region with 325 staffed beds
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required between like units and possibly sister facilities within skill set
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Epic experience required, especially for first-time travelers
• Skills needed include IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Central line care/management preferred
• Proficiency in triage and isolation precautions/PPE required
• Two references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required, may include Charge RNs/Leads
• Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem), including location and dates if applicable

• First-time travelers accepted with at least 1 year of ER experience and Epic experience
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period if outside the 50-mile radius
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront; minimal time off preferred, ideally under 7 days
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region
• Pending license candidates accepted, but quick starts are preferred
