The Pet Doctor is looking for an Associate Veterinarian who enjoys practicing quality medicine with a cohesive, tenured team!

The Pet Doctor is a well-established full-service animal hospital providing comprehensive pet healthcare in Lakewood, WA. When we opened our doors more than 50 years ago, our mission was simple: To give every animal the chance to have a happy and healthy life. This is still our belief today and guides our daily decisions. Every team member has a deep love and respect for animals and is committed to providing high-quality service and care.

A little more about us:

• We welcome a new, recent graduate or a seasoned veterinarian who is ready to share their knowledge with our dedicated team. We have an established collaborative mentorship program for new graduates, ensuring comprehensive support and no single doctor days as you embark on your veterinary career.
• Our veterinarians practice gold standard medicine, fear free, low stress techniques and value creating strong relationships with our patients and their humans.
• Our full-time veterinarians enjoy a 4-day work week, and part-time shifts are flexible. Open weekdays 8am-6pm with weekends off. No on call hours.
• We pride ourselves on our strong doctor-to-support staff ratio. We have 5 licensed veterinary technicians and 5 trained assistants. All our assistants and client care coordinators have their medical clerk’s license.
• We team up with cardiac and ultrasound specialists to offer these important services “In hospital” for increased comfort for our patients and convenience for our clients. We also have a radiologist to consult on all our imaging cases.
• In-house diagnostics and treatments available:
  Idexx lab machines (Procyte, Catalyst and Sedi Vue), a diagnostic ultrasound machine, digital dental X-ray, DR X-ray system, TCI scope, Class IV laser and Phovia light therapy.

• Lakewood is the second largest city in Pierce County and is located between Seattle and Olympia.
• We are minutes to Joint-Base Lewis McChord, 45 minutes to Seattle, 1 hour to Mt. Rainier and 1.5 hours to the ocean.

• Prosal compensation model with a base salary range of $130,000-$150,000 annually (based on experience and hours/week)
