The position

The overall purpose of the Wind O&M Coordinator role is to assist with the day-to-day running of operations within the team. This includes supporting the programming and scheduling of works, invoicing and billing management, obtaining and putting together quotations for small works, document and quality control, the raising and issuing of work orders and any other supporting activities and requirements of the team.

The ideal candidate will be from a coordination or administration background with a high level of organisation and computer literacy. This is a permanent role which is primarily office based.

RES is a leader in renewable energy and is expanding its reach in the O&M area of operational services. The business unit currently operates and maintains a portfolio of wind assets and has ambitious plans.

Accountabilities

The O&M Coordinator shall focus on the daily, weekly and monthly needs of the O&M team, supporting the regional Operations Managers and other staff to deliver the service in a safe, compliant, professional, and cost-effective manner.

  • Responding to daily requests for support from the site technicians, prioritising any issues, and escalating as required.
  • Monitoring compliance with maintenance schedules / reports, ensuring the highest quality of documentation for completed maintenance, identifying upcoming maintenance tasks, highlighting overdue items for attention, and acting on defects.
  • Compiling summaries of maintenance work completed, collating photographs, and drafting relevant insights for monthly client reporting.
  • Stock management and procurement of materials; leading an improvement activity to increase the quality and efficiency of this task.
  • Supporting technicians with their day-to-day requirements from holiday requests to booking hotels for work travel.
  • Administering equipment warranty claims.
  • Coordinating PPE maintenance and new orders.
  • Maintaining a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other quality management tools as necessary.
  • Ensuring client invoicing for any chargeable items (including spare parts) is carried out accurately and promptly.
  • Help organising team meetings and annual team events.
  • Supporting monthly & annual reporting tasks.
  • Analysis of maintenance KPIs and highlighting trends and anomalies.
  • The raising and closing of job work orders.
  • The raising, management and closing of purchase orders.
  • The ordering of materials as required for small defect rectification.
  • Obtaining quotations from suppliers and putting together quotations for small works.
  • Efficient programming of engineers.
  • Work programme management.
Knowledge
  • Fully competent with Microsoft Office and overall good computer skills.
  • Presentation and report preparation.
  • Stock control and fleet management.
  • General Operation team support.
Skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Be organised.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment.
Experience
  • Have carried out a similar administrative or coordinator role previously.
  • Able to demonstrate operating in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Well organised and self-motivated.
Qualifications
  • Business Degree or Business administration qualification.
