Overview
Little Pips Nursery, a state‑of‑the‑art Early Years education facility opened in September 2025 on the grounds of Pocklington School. Founded to provide truly exceptional Early Years education, the nursery offers a nurturing haven for children aged 0 to four years. The setting combines highly qualified educators, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, with an art studio, Forest School and 32 acres of outdoor space, creating a holistic early years care and education experience.
The Role- An ideal opportunity for an experienced Nursery Educator looking to take the next step in their career.
- You will work alongside the Room Leads, Nursery Manager and Pedagogical Lead in one of our baby rooms to ensure that our pedagogical practices reflect the best of the Reggio Emilia approach, focusing on the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our curriculum. You will ensure each child’s learning experience is engaging, responsive and based on their interests.
- You will assist the Lead Educator to mentor, inspire and support our educators to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred learning experiences, whilst playing a key role in fostering positive relationships with families.
You’ll be part of a nurturing, innovative team of experienced and dedicated teaching professionals. You will support the smooth operation of a setting that celebrates creativity, individuality and collaboration, making a significant impact on early childhood education within a forward‑thinking, Reggio Emilia‑inspired nursery.
What You’ll Receive- Competitive salary of £28,794 per annum (£13.80 per hour).
- Excellent work‑life balance with flexibility: options include four 10‑hour shifts per week or other arrangements. Hours of work are between 7:30 am and 6 pm.

- Qualified to Level 3 or above in Early Years Education (e.g. CACHE Level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience in an early years setting, with a strong understanding of child development and pedagogical practice.
- Committed to the application of the Reggio Emilia approach in early childhood education.
- Ability and desire to lead, develop and inspire a team of Early Years educators.
