About the Job Reporting to the Financial Controller the Accountant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties Key responsibilities Prepare and interpret monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and support all year-end accounting activities Manage general accounting duties including sales ledger, purchase ledger, multi-currency bank reconciliations, credit control, and stock management Support and implement effective financial controls and best business practices across the finance function Oversee foreign exchange transactions and related financial processes Monitor and manage company cashflow to support operational and strategic objectives Supervise and support junior members of the finance team Produce monthly management reports, including key business KPIs, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met Assist with financial analysis and provide insight to support management decision-making Previous experience Previous experience working in a busy office environment Hold an Accounts Technician Qualification or currently studying your ATI (Desirable) or Part Qualified Accountant/ Newly Qualified Accountant For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Daryl Hunter at HireIQ in complete confidence
