Personal Assistant LS

PERSONAL ASSISTANT (2 posts) flexible, LS27 - Leeds - LS27

Hours per week: Post A - 12 hours per week (mainly weekday afternoons). Post B - 8 hours per week (mainly weekday afternoons).

Hourly rate: £14.10 p/h (gross) weekday, £17.60 p/h (gross) weekend.

Location: Morley, Leeds LS27.

Role: To assist, support and enable disabled person in daily life with a variety of tasks, including social, domestic and leisure activities.

Susan is disabled by neurological illness, chronic fatigue and reduced ability in arms and legs and needs to use a wheelchair for trips out.

Personal assistant must be able to push wheelchair and load wheelchair into car.

Susan's husband is also disabled and may also need support to attend appointments.

Duties will include:

• Food preparation
• Shopping
• Laundry
• Household tasks e.g., change bedding, cleaning
• Correspondence
• Computer and tech support
• Support to attend medical appointments
• Support to visit family and friends
• Support to participate in leisure activities

Reliable, sociable, honest, conscientious, adaptable, caring, patient, tolerant. Have sense of humour, good communication skills, initiative.

Flexibility towards hours and planned activities.

Car driver preferred (appropriate car insurance needed) full clean driving licence.

An enhanced DBS check will be required.
