Role Overview
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential support to service users in a domiciliary setting. Your role will involve assisting individuals with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring their comfort and safety. You will also act as a link to service managers, attend team meetings, and use your communication skills to update families on progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Support service users with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, and collecting benefits
• Assist with personal care tasks including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times
• Prepare meals, serve food, and assist with feeding where required
• Undertake light cleaning and domestic duties to maintain hygiene standards
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behaviour to senior carers
• Contribute to care reviews and ensure safeguarding arrangements are followed
• Administer medication in line with company policy and training
• Respond to emergencies and provide guidance to care workers during shifts
• Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with care plans and policies

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential
• Strong communication skills in English
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping and healthcare software use
• Familiarity with care plans and ability to follow them accurately
• Experience in home care or care home environments preferred but not mandatory
• Clean full UK driving licence required
• GCSE or equivalent education preferred

Health rites Care Solutions is willing to provide sponsorship; however, this will only be considered after three to six months of employment.

Peterhead – in-person role supporting clients in the community.
