Health & Safety Officer

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of a Health and Safety Officer
.

As an EHS Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking duties covering all aspects of Health and Safety in the workplace.

• Assist in the development of the Company's Health and Safety Management systems across all locations
• Perform and revise risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Legislation (NI and ROI) for both employees and contractors
• Offer guidance on Health and Safety issues to managers and staff
• Conduct investigations into Health and Safety incidents and near misses
• Prepare monthly Health and Safety reports and compile health and safety statistics
• Undertake site inspections and deliver training to staff
• Ensure that contractors' codes of practice are current and followed by all employees and contractors

• Experience in a Health and Safety role
• Relevant Health and Safety qualification
• Experience in implementing and managing hazard identification and risk management processes
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in both NI and ROI
• Experience in conducting Health and Safety investigations
• Experience in managing and implementing Health and Safety management systems
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
• A driving licence and access to personal transport

• Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
• NEBOSH certificate
