- Define and drive our product vision, roadmap, and release plans, ensuring alignment with business goals, user needs, and departmental priorities.
- Lead the full product lifecycle from discovery to live service, managing backlogs, prioritisation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Champion user‑centred design and digital inclusion, using research, analytics, and feedback to inform decisions and enhance service outcomes.
- Ensure our products meet GDS standards, accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.2), security, and government technology best practices.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary agile teams, suppliers, and service managers to deliver high‑quality digital products and services.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across government, partners, and user groups, providing assurance on delivery, supplier performance, value for money, and operational resilience.
- Create, own, and manage the Fish Import Service product vision and agreed outcomes.
- Use data, analytics, and user insight to identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, enhanced user experience, and continuous improvement.
- Be responsible for product quality and delivery against challenging release deadlines.

We are the Marine Management Organisation, hiring for a Product Manager on a 9‑month contract based in Newcastle, with 2–3 days per week on site. This is an inside IR35 role focused on transforming fish import processes through the Fish Import Service. We support a user‑centric, collaborative environment and value diversity and inclusion. We guarantee interviews for disabled candidates and for veterans or spouses/partners of military personnel who meet the essential criteria.
This role can only be worked within the UK.
