Position: Electrical/ Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
An established and growing food manufacturing business operating within the bakery sector is seeking an experienced Electrical / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. The company supplies high-quality products to retail and food service customers and operates within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving production and packaging equipment to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong electrical fault-finding ability combined with solid mechanical maintenance skills.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns Electrical fault-finding on motors, drives, sensors, control panels and PLC systems Mechanical maintenance including conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics, belts and bearings Support installation and commissioning of new equipment Complete maintenance documentation accurately Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food safety standards Essential:
Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship or equivalent) Proven experience in a manufacturing / FMCG environment Strong electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings Desirable: PLC fault-finding experience Food production or bakery experience 18th Edition qualification Experience using CMMS systems In return for a Competitive salary, Pension scheme, Paid holidays, overtime opportunities, ongoing training and development and lots more!
