Ink Technician
Job Description:
Saica Deeside is looking to recruit an Ink Technician to support our flexographic print operations. The role involves working closely with prepress and press teams to ensure inks and colours meet production and quality requirements.
Prepress experience is essential for this role. Ink matching experience is prefered but not essential , as full training will be provided both internal and externally.
Key Responsibilities Preparing and supplying inks to support press operations
Supporting colour consistency across repeat and new jobs Maintaining ink stocks, records, and documentation
Ensuring correct handling, storage, and disposal of inks and waste
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area Working closely with press operators and prepress colleagues
Skills & Experience Required Essential:
Prepress experience within a print or packaging environment
Essential:
Basic Microsoft Excel skills
Essential:
Good organising and planning skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to work accurately in a busy manufacturing environment
Willingness to learn technical skills, including ink matching
Good communication and teamwork skills
Training & Development Full ink matching training will be provided
Ongoing development within Saica’s quality and production system
