Paint Shop Operative (Blast / Spray)

Location:

Omagh.

Hours:

39 Hour Week. Monday – Thursday 6:00pm – 4:15am (Night Shift).

Join our team at Terex Omagh and embark on an exciting opportunity as a skilled Paint Shop Operative (Blast / Spray) to contribute to our Paint Shop team at night.

What you’ll do:

• Brushes or sprays paint to cover scratches, chips or repairs in painted parts or finish of machines.
• Cleans and prepares surface for painting using cleaning solution, solvent, sander and scraper.
• Applies thin coat of finish material such as paint or lacquer to sanded area.
• Sprays or touches up finish coats to blend spots or imperfections.
• Ability to prime and apply base coat to a high standard.
• Be confident in checking and polishing components with the minimum of supervision.

What you’ll bring:

• Relevant experience as a Blast / Spray Painter, including previous bodywork experience.
• Knowledge of paint preparation within an engineering environment.
• Hard working, a good team player with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.
• Willingness to develop skills on an ongoing basis and flexibility to work overtime as and when required.
