A well-established and highly successful manufacturing organisation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern manufacturing environment where continuous improvement, innovation, and employee development are at the heart of the business.
Your New RoleReporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency, and supporting the introduction of new products and technologies across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to drive productivity and quality improvements.
- Support the introduction of new products from design through to production.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Carry out process capability studies and production line optimisation.
- Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and design teams.
- Support capital equipment projects and process improvements.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards.
- Degree or HND in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting production processes and implementing improvements.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems.
Mon - Thurs 7am - 5pm and Fri 2pm
