Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their dynamic team at their Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage your workload according to a published plan, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks. Oversee inventory management to guarantee materials are readily available for work assignments. Perform scheduled activities for designated equipment, areas, or functions, ensuring operational excellence. Conduct data and process-checking activities to maintain high standards.

Keys to Success:
Take ownership of your work to ensure it is done 'right first time'. Utilise your troubleshooting skills to identify issues and propose effective solutions. Set and meet objectives, creating and adhering to deadlines. Be proactive in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives across all aspects of your work.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

GCSE level education or a relevant degree.

Experience:

- Essential:
Prior experience in a laboratory environment.

- Preferred:
Familiarity with workload management and planning. Key

Skills and Abilities:

Strong documentation, communication, and digital literacy skills. Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) effectively. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Excel. Practical knowledge of units of measurement with basic mathematical skills.

Physical Requirements:

Capable of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understanding chemical hygiene protocols. Ability to handle solutions and chemicals safely. Must be able to lift objects up to 20 kilogram mes. Willingness to work overtime on short notice, including weekends, to support departmental needs.
