• Carrying out testing, servicing, and maintenance on a range of small petrol powered tools.
• Managing workshop tasks and ensuring the servicing schedule is consistently up to date.
• Assisting customers in the yard and providing equipment demonstrations when needed.
• Ensuring all small plant equipment is well-maintained, operational, and presentable.
• Diagnosing equipment faults, ordering necessary parts, and completing repairs efficiently.
• Updating order books and job cards accurately and in a timely manner.
• Keeping the Branch Manager and hire desk informed on the status and progress of ongoing repairs.
• Cleaning tools to ensure they meet hire standards.

• Previous experience working on petrol power tools including diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
• Good understanding of hydraulic and mechanical principals
• The ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Good communication skills
