Tax Accountant Hybrid

Our client, a dynamic organization in the finance and accounting industry, is seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. As a Tax Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Tax Compliance team. The ideal candidate will have detail-oriented skills, strong analytical abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Tax Accountant
Location: Omaha, NE
Pay Range: $55,000 - $57,000 annually

• Prepare sales and use tax returns for all US states to ensure compliance with state laws.
• Assist in preparing Canadian GST/HST/PST/QST returns and commercial rent tax returns for New York City agencies.
• Support the preparation of annual reports and miscellaneous business tax filings.
• Maintain and update tax systems such as Vertex and Diagnostax, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with external auditors and manage unclaimed property reporting and escheatment processes.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; MBA or CPA designation is a plus.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
