Tax Accountant
As a Consulting Senior, you will be a valuable member of the Tax Planning & Preparation Engagement Team. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to gain knowledge and experience in a variety of industries, supervise consulting associates with assignments, instruct them in work to be performed, review work done, and direct necessary revisions. In addition to developing your tax expertise, you will also have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in Comprehensive Accounting Solutions (CAS), expanding your skill set across broader accounting and advisory services.
You will continue to grow your accounting knowledge with on‑the‑job technical training, using leading technology, as you collaborate daily in a dynamic team environment. This person must have solid communication, technology, analytical, and time management skills, along with great customer service, a positive attitude, and a team mentality.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Tax Planning & Preparation- Preparation and/or review of business, individual, trust, and/or non‑profit tax returns
- Research of tax regulations and tax planning projects
- Knowledge of accrual basis and cash basis methods of accounting
- Responsible for multiple clients simultaneously
- Maintain workload and deliverables in a timely manner
- Track time spent on client work
- Other duties as assigned
- Act as lead on recurring monthly close for multiple clients simultaneously
- Reconcile bank and credit card activity
- Post financial transactions using accounting software(s) and 3rd party platforms
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and record journal entries as needed
- Prepare supporting documents that reconcile to the financial statements
- Comfortable with bookkeeping spreadsheets and accounting platforms
- Preparation of sales and use tax returns, property tax returns, payroll tax returns, and Form 1096s/1099s
- Responsible for multiple clients simultaneously
- Maintain workload and deliverables in a timely manner
- Track time spent on client work
- Other duties as assigned
- 2+ years of experience in preparation and/or review of business, individual, trust, and/or non‑profit tax returns
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
- This is an in‑person opportunity
- Strong analytical, technical, and research skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
- Knowledge of PC based Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Adobe, and Power Point
- Willing to work in the office and at various local client offices as needed
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing client and business dynamics
- The starting salary for this role is $80,000- $100,000 annually depending on experience, plus discretionary bonuses based on merit for individual contribution and the overall profitability of the Company.
- The position is eligible for new client incentive compensation.
- The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance, along with the option to establish a Health Savings Account (HSA), contingent upon the selection of a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).

- This position is eligible for education reimbursement programs, continuing professional education (CPE), time off and pay granted for CPA exams, and paid memberships for accounting societies and/or selected professional organizations.
