Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to support our accounting operations, with a focus on Accounts Payable, vendor management, cash receipts, and general cost accounting. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

• Code invoices and ensure payments are charged to the correct accounts
• Set up and maintain new vendor accounts
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Generate summary AP reports for management
• Process cash receipts
  , including daily deposits, lease deposits, ACH, and EFT payments
• Update and maintain Sherpa ERP records
• Track equipment leases
• Maintain knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures
• Complete additional accounting tasks as assigned

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  , and industry‑specific software/ERP systems
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to set goals, track performance, and meet critical deadlines
• Solid understanding of financial and cost accounting
• Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
• Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy team player

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred (High School diploma required)
• 3–5 years of Accounts Payable and/or general private accounting experience preferred

• Extended periods of sitting and computer work
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed
