Job Description:

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is looking to hire dedicated and caring individuals for our Office Technician for our Relative Kinship Team. In this position, you will provide support for the relative/kinship foster care team.

- Assist supervisors and team members with various administrative tasks
- Perform data entry, filing, sorting, and handling of mail
- Help in processing transportation requests and assisting youth with appointments
- Monitor a fleet of cars used for transportation
- Scan documents into NFOCUS and ensure records are up-to-date
- Print reports for workers on performance indicators
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all records
- Position is Monday-Friday 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with the public and answering phones.
- Experience with confidential information handling.
- Familiarity with entering information into databases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Nuance).
- Knowledge of general office procedures, including filing, data entry, and scanning documents.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Word.
- Experience using electronic databases or case management systems (e.g., NFOCUS preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to provide professional customer service and answer phones courteously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow directions and work reliably as part of a team.
