Position SummaryResponsible for accounts reconciliation, accounts payable functions and travel coordination within the Department of Family Medicine. Directly working with learners travel and non-travel expenses while in education program. Provide coordination of program-specific accounting activities to support research and grant/research program dept. mission. This will include budget coordination, communication, and maintenance, in accordance to Sponsored Programs Administration and Accounting. Provides support to special projects as assigned.

- History in grants preparation, processes, and management
- Proficient in basic accounting and/or bookkeeping skills.
- Strong organizational abilities along with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, make fiscal decisions with minimal supervision, anticipate and solve problems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to work cooperatively with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to react sensitively to complex, interpersonal situations arising from department involvement with a wide range of campus personnel, faculty, and organizations.

Business related field
Preferred Experience
Experience in preparing program-specific budgets and budgets for large grant applications and management of grant budgets.
