Senior Construction Superintendent

Hoar Construction is seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent to lead and coordinate the overall execution of construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, the Superintendent will manage safety, quality, and cost controls while ensuring that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

• Record and maintain operational data and produce reports, including personnel, production, project logs, and status updates.
• Coordinate and manage daily field operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
• Read construction documents to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
• Manage site safety by walking the site, participating in inspections, training, and meetings with staff and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress, review processes, and ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality of delivery.
• Mentor and develop employees.
• Lead Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and other field staff, building relationships and communicating expectations regarding schedules, methods, policies, and standards.
• Monitor project schedule and budget, coordinate with subcontractors for recovery plans, and meet regularly with staff and subcontractors to discuss progress, obstacles, and challenges, assisting in removing barriers to completion.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience as a Superintendent on construction projects, or 1 year as a Senior Superintendent.
• Extensive knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and safety procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all crafts of construction, including carpentry, concrete, structural steel, and interior build‑outs.
• Experience managing performance and leading a diverse field team.
• General computer skills (MS Office, Procore, scheduling software).
• Valid driver’s license required.

Work is performed mainly in indoor and outdoor settings with exposure to varying weather and temperature conditions, and requires travel from site to site. Primary functions include walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods, frequently stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull moderate loads up to 50 lbs without assistance, and greater than 50 lbs with assistance.

The role also involves operating assigned equipment and vehicles, and verbal communication to exchange information.
