WhatYou’ll Do Jobsite Safety Support & Hazard Identification
- Conduct daily safety walks and identify unsafe conditions or behaviors
- Communicate hazards and corrective actions clearly to field teams
- Monitor housekeeping, material storage, and overall site organization
- Assist with inspections, safety logs, incident reports, JHAs, and compliance records
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time
- Enter data into safety systems and reporting tools
- Support orientations, toolbox talks, and daily safety huddles
- Participate in pre-task planning and coordination meetings
- Build confidence leading field‑level safety conversations
- Help verify subcontractor compliance and required safety documentation
- Assist with PPE checks, signage, barricades, and hazard communication
- Support planning and documentation for high‑risk activities (lifts, excavations, hot work, LOTO)
- Assist with initial incident response, documentation, and follow‑up
- Support environmental compliance tasks such as SWPPP inspections, BMP checks, and rain event logs
- Contribute to emergency preparedness and severe weather readiness
You’re reliable, observant, and comfortable speaking up when something doesn’t look right.
You Bring- 0–3 years of construction safety or field experience
- OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Working knowledge of basic OSHA standards and construction safety practices
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Comfort working on active construction sites in varying weather conditions
- Computer proficiency for digital reporting and documentation
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites

This role is designed as a launch point for a long‑term career in EHS and construction leadership. With experience and development, Safety Specialists can grow into roles such as:
Safety Specialist → Safety Manager → Senior Safety Manager → EHS Leadership Roles.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily based on active construction jobsites
- Exposure to weather, noise, dust, and construction activity
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs or ladders, and navigating uneven terrain
- Ability to lift 25–40 lbs occasionally
- Regular use of tablets, phones, and digital safety tools
- PPE required at all times: hard hat, safety glasses, high‑visibility vest, gloves, and work boots
